In an interview with Pfefferminzia editor-in-chief Karen Schmidt (10 August 2026), Marc Mauracher, managing director of HMR Versicherungsmakler in Cologne, and Afori founder Fabian Wesemann explain how AI agents are taking over policy wording reviews in the brokerage. Instead of waiting on hold with insurers, Afori automatically matches each policy to the right policy wording, runs Quote Comparison using the Versnavi database of around 20,000 policy wordings, and delivers a ready-to-send email draft with an infographic showing the coverage gaps in the existing policy. Mauracher saves up to 40 minutes per client case and has tripled his conversion rate, with the time saved going straight into acquisition and client relationships. Wesemann explains how built-in hallucination checks and exact references to the policy wording ensure traceability, and what Afori will use its 23 million structured data points for next: systematically improving insurance books of business.
